Where are all the young professionals??

I have just moved back to Letchworth after living in London for a number of years. I am 24, and seem to be the only unmarried young professional in Letchworth.
Being constructive about the whole thing I have been religiously reading my LGC social information which is put through the letter box, but as I am not over 55 or a school child on half term, its seems that there are absolutely no social groups where I could meet people.
Please tell me I am missing something!!
