Letchworth Golf Club is in Baldock Lane in Willian village and will celebrate 100 years of golfing in 2005.
A clubhouse steward is required to replace a long serving steward who is due to retire at the end of April this year.
With full responsibility for all aspects of the clubhouse you will provide a courteous and efficient service to members, visitors and guests.
You will:
Be responsible for staff costs and operate a budget to allow for extra casual staff as required at peak periods.
Empty and account for gaming machine takings.
Enforce dress rules to both members and staff present in the Clubhouse.
Welcome Society visitors and show them the areas for changing, eating and drinking within the facilities.
Maintain and stock the coffee machine in the Lounge Bar and ensure that crockery and cutlery in this area is always clean and available.
Account for bar stocks through careful ordering, price checking and monitoring of stock. Also to assist with audited stocktakes as required.
Be responsible for clubhouse security and will maintain the keyholder list.
Oversee the cleaning staff and ensure that all areas of the clubhosue are clean and tidy on a daily basis. You will order cleaning materials as required, within the agreed budget.
Ensure that the heating system is operational and functioning accordingly.
Liase with the Caterer and front of house team to ensure food provision runs smoothly.
Market and actively promote the Club and bar facilities at all times.
Support the office in peak hours with regards to incoming telephone calls etc.
An attractive negotiabl salary is available to suitably qulaified candidates. Accommodation is not provided.
