The museum is housed in an attractive, early Garden City building in the town centre. The museum's main galleries feature local archaeology and wildlife, with a regular programme of changing exhibitions in the art gallery. The bright wildlife gallery features animals from the Letchworth area shown in realistic settings. An archaeological gallery covers the history of the area from 200,000BC to the 19thC including an Iron Age chieftain's burial.
